Document Description
El Capitan State Beach is a heavily used park with outdated entrance facilities, which create potential public safety uses, congestion for vehicles entering the park, which result in damage to park facilities and resources. This project would: 1) enhance public safety by providing an alternate park entrance route for pedestrians; 2) improve vehicle circulation by widening the park entrance road and entrance kiosk area and by replacing the narrow culvert crossing at El Capitan creek with a bridge; and 3) improve service to the public by replacing the entrance kiosk and office buildings with one ADA-compliant kiosk.
