Document Description
The proposed project is part of an energy efficient incentive program sponsored by the U.S. Dept. of Energy and the CA Public Utilities Commission. The project would replace approx. 514 of the City's existing High Pressure Sodium (HPS) streetlights with energy-efficient Light-Emitting Diode (LED) fixtures. The purpose of the project is to reduce energy consumption, which would also result in the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and other air pollutants from non-renewable electrical generating facilities. No new light poles are proposed.
