Document Description
The Joint Transmission Main (JTM) is a 42-inch water pipeline that was constructed in 1961 to convey potable water from a metropolitan Water District connection in Irvine, CA to Bradt reservoir and Schlegel Reservoir in San Clemente, CA. Collectively, these facilities comprise the Joint Regional Water Supply System, a section of which is contract operated by South Coast Water District ("District"). The District plans to construct a manway and vault to allow for inspection and maintenance of the JTM pipe. The manway and vault location is within a 24-foot JTM easement and is adjacent to existing Moulton Niguel Water District JTM facilities.
