- SMUD contractors will replace one (1) main line valve on SMUD's high pressure natural gas pipeline. The proposed project consists of the following scope of work: 1. Excavate an existing, buried isolation serving a high pressure natural has transmission pipeline; 2. Hydrostatic testing will occur prior to installation of the new valve (approx. 550 gal) 3. remove the existing valve and replace with a new valve assembly. 4. New valve assembly includes: installation, start-up, adjustment, operation, and testing of the equipment provided. Furnished materials will include valve, pups, stem, actuator, line break system, controls, power gas tanks, and any incidentals for all equipment and underground installation. 5. Conduct testing and monitoring during re-pressurization of main line valve equipment. 6. Backfill with sand and native soil to preexisting conditions.
