replace and upgrade components of the irrigation system at Sutter's Fort State Historic Park to provide improved irrigation to the landscape surrounding the historic fort:
Performance/pressure test the irrigation system in the area on the north side of the fort for functionality. If tests indicate the system is unusable beyond repair, replace the system;
Abandon in place all irrigation line proposed for replacement;
Install a total of approximately 7,700 linear feet of new pipe;
hand excavate to install approximately 700 linear feet of new pipe;
hand excavate approximately 104 ft square to install 13 ball valves and boxes;
hand excavate thirty 14'x19" by 12" deep holes to install new remote irrigation control valves in in-ground boxes;
Excavate 9" by 9" by 12" deep to install 12 quick coupler valves in in-ground boxes;
Project consists of the maintenance of existing public facilities involving no expansion of use beyond current levels, the replacement or reconstruction of existing structures and facilities where the new structure will have the same purpose and capacity as the structure replaced; the construction and location of limited numbers of new, small facilities or structures.
