Document Description
The California of Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2017-0748-r1, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game code to Mendocino County Department of Transportation, represented by Alex Straessle. The project is limited to one encroachment. The project replaces a failing 36-inch diameter corrugated metal culvert with a 54-inch reinforced comcrete pipe sized for a 100 year flow event. Access to the outlet of the pipe will use a historic roadbed, which will need to be cleared of trees that have grown since the installation of the original culvert. Although the new pipe is pre-cast, headwalls, wingwalls, and an outlet apron will be cast in place. Rock slope protection boulders will be placed at the outlet for energy dissipation.
