Document Description
The project is limited to the following activities: 1) Use of hand tools to manage vegetation and allow access to two stream gauging stations and stilling wells located on the banks of the Sacramento River. Non-native, invasive vegetation like giant cane will be removed while native riparian vegetation will be minimally pruned to facilitate human access. Cut stump spraying of appropriate, California registered herbicides may be used during removal of giant cane. 2) Back-flushing of two stilling wells to remove amoundt of accumulated sediments from the wells that are impeding their proper function.
