The purpose of this project is to prevent the discharge of debris and contaminants into coastal waters through installation of various spill containment and oil and pollution cleanup equipment at the Spud Point Marina. The Spud Point Marina will install four types of water quality improvement equipment with funding anticipated from the State of California Ocean Protection Council Proposition 1 Grant. Final equipment placement locations are not yet determined: Solar Trash and Recycling Compactors Cigarette Butt Receptacles Storm Drain Filters Oil Spill Response Materials Ongoing Maintenance Supplies
