The proposed project is a triennial update to the Energy Code, coincident with the CA Building Standards Commission's triennial update cycle for the CA Building Standards Code. The update proposes increased efficiencies for residential and nonresidential buildings, including aligning with the current requirements of ASHRAE 62.1, 62.2, AND 90.1 and requiring the installation of rooftop solar pv systems in new low-rise residential construction.
