The Project would: rehabilitate approximately 8.5 miles of State Route (SR) 36 by widening the shoulders to four (4) feet and adding an overlay of 0.45-foot Hot Mix Asphalt; re-align and construct new pavement at three locations; replace, extend, and/or line approximately 57 culverts; update the Intelligent Transportation System elements and guard rails; and replace the bridge that spans Goodrich Creek. The Project would also extend the clear recovery zone by removing obstacles and flattening slopes close to the traveled way.
