Document Description
Caltrans proposes to replace deteriorating pipe culverts with a concrete box culvert system on SR 178, PM 43.4, east of the town of Shoshone CA at the Amargosa River crossing. The proposed culvert system would increase hydraulic capacity and reduce the frequency of road closures due to water overtopping SR 178 after storm events. To build this project, Caltrans proposes to acquire ROW easements from a private land owner and the Bureau of Land Management for construction and continued maintenance of the culverts.
