Document Description
The purpose of the sewer improvement project is to replace deteriorated sewer mains throughout the city of Maricopa in order to prevent SSOs and provide adequate sewer service to all city residents. The proposed project will involve replacing all existing deteriorated and undersized sewer mains and extending the system to serve customers currently connected to individual septic systems. The project will include approx 37,420 lf of new sewer pipeline installed at a deeper depth, 127 new manholes, and a new lift station. As part of this improvement project, the city will also install a new headworks at the WWTP to screen influent wastewater. A replacement pipeline will be installed from the city to the existing WWTP located east of the city.
