Document Description
The proposed project would repair portions of the exterior of the IGPP Munk Lab building at Scripps Institution of Oceanography (AIO). Scope of work would include removal and replacement of exterior redwood siding, exposed roof beams, wood deck/walkway planking and wood trim around exterior doors and windows. Scope of work would also include replacement of metal railings, in specific areas, along the south walkway. The proposed exterior repairs will remove deteriorated surfaces and refinish others, which would stabilize the exterior of this UC San Diego Historically designated building. These repairs would be in conformance with Secretary of Interior's Standards for historically designated buildings. Heritage Architecture & Planning firm is the company undertaking the work on the building.
