- CCSD is proposing to replace water mains in the two locations described above. Along Placer Road, +/- 1,500 lineal feet of existing 10" and 8" water main will be replaced with new 24" ductile iron pipe. The new pipe will be installed along the northwest side of Placer Road approx. two feet off the edge of pavement. All existing water lines and services connected to the existing water main will be transferred to the new main. Along Silver Kin Road, +/-2,460 lineal feet of existing 4" water main will be replaced with new 8" PVC pipe. The new 8" pipe will tie into an existing 8" water main on the north side of Placer Road, and extend the entire length of Silver King Road. The pipe will be installed along the east side of Silver King Road. All existing water lines and services connected to the existing water main will be transferred to the new main. The purpose of the project is to ensure a safe and reliable water supply for customers in the CCSD service area.
