Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake or Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2017-0217-R6, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (MWD). The project is limited to stream impacts associated with the dewatering and shutdown of the Lower Feeder pipeline, San Diego canal, and Perris Bypass Pipeline for inspection/repair purposes and to clean/remove silt and debris from the canal. Silt and debris removed will be spread on Metropolitan patrol roads, fee property, and/or easements where no vegetation is present. Project activities in the stream areas include the placement of erosion control measures, and dewatering discharges from various locations along The Lower Feeder at Station 80+40 into Caljaco Creek, Perris pipeline at Station 2045+17, and the San Diego Canal at Station 566+86 of Olive Siphon. Dewatering methods include diverting through a filtration system or dewatering hoses and discharging to the stream areas.
