Document Description
Replace the failing roof on the historic schoolhouse located at Camp Reynolds in Angel Island State Park in order to preserve the building. Work will remove the old roof, replace rotted plywood decking as needed, install snow and ice barrier at eves, replace flashing and drip eaves, replace flashing and drop eaves, and install a new composition shingle roof. All work will be completed to maintain the historic integrity of the building, and will meet Secretary of Interiors Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties.

Project consists of maintenance and minor alterations of existing public facilities involving negligible or no expansion of use beyond that existing the replacement or reconstruction of existing structures and facilities where the new structure will be located on the same site as the structure replaced and will have substantially the same purpose and capacity as the structure replace, included as "reroofing" in the Department of Parks and Recreation's list of exempt activities in accordance with CCR 15330.4 and the maintenance, repair, and rehabilitation of historic resources in a manner consistent with the Secretary of the Interiors' Standard for the Treatment of Historic Properties with Guidelines for Preserving , Rehabilitating, Restoring and Reconstructing Historic Building (1995), Weeks and Grimmer.
