- The State Water Resources Control Board as the lead agency will be issuing a water supply permit for the operation of the system. The Golden State Vintners will be adding a strong-based ion exchange nitrate treatment plant within their existing vineyard property. A building will be installed to house 4-ion exchange treatment columns for nitrate and regeneration equipment. A sulfate rinse tank, brine supply tank, waste tank, and pretreatment filters will be installed outside the building. Associated piping will also be installed on site. The brine from the treatment plant will be hauled to a nonhazardous waste site by a waste brine disposal agent about 24 times per year.
