The City of Santa Cruz Water Department is proposing to replace the existing 75 ft. wide by 8 ft. tall inflatable rubber bladder located at the Felton diversion facilities on the San Lorenzo River in Felton, Ca. The project includes removal of the existing inflatable rubber bladder and the placement of a new one in the same location utilizing the existing concrete foundation and attached hardware. Additional site maintenance will include assessment, repair, and potentially replacement of existing concrete, anchor bolts, any other components as necessary.
The project does not meet any of the exceptons for taking a Categorical Exemption. Specifically the project will not be located in a particularly sensitive environment; will not have a significant cumulative impact; will not have a significant effect on the environment due to unusual circumstances; will not result in damage scenic resources; will not be located on site included on any list compiled.
