- Document Description
- Built on a slope in a highly erosive environment, Idyllwild Campground has developed significant gullies and areas of sediment deposition. Historic campground features, including postwar concrete tables and CCC-era stonework, are being undercut by erosion, while sediment is depositing in the picnic areas and overflowing into neighboring private properties. This project proposes to stabilize the campground and its historic features against continued erosion, while also improving the visitor experience by better delineating campsites, providing parking, and leveling tent pads. DPR-approved standard project requirements have been incorporated into this project.
