Document Description
Caltrans proposes an emergency project to immediately repair a leaking vaporizer unit at the Caples Lake Maintenance Station. The 30,000 gallon propane tank leaks propane vapor and liquid, causing the out of date regulators to malfunction. There is a risk of fire and explosion with the current condition of the tanks plumbing fittings. The purpose of this project is to replace the vaporizer and the monitor regulators. The need for this project is to prevent or mitigate the loss of life, health, property and essential services.
