Document Description
SWRCB, as responsible agency, will be issuing a water supply permit. The city of Chino proposed project is for two treatment systems that include 8 GAC treatment vessels and piping. Vessels will be installed on proposed 80ft x 35ft concrete pads. 2 influent filters, approx 3ft x 8ft, will be installed on proposed 4ft x 9ft concrete pads. New 18 in distribution piping will be installed for GAC treatment system influent and effluent for the Benson and Eastside. The GAC Treatment system will utilize GAC material that will need to be removed from the vessels every 1-3 years and transported to an off site location to be reactivated for reuse. The project proposes shallow excavations to install the proposed outside project and any areas disturbed during construction will be restored to its original condition. Total disturbed area is estimated to be approx 5,200 sf, which includes 4,000 sf for the concrete pad and approx 1,200 sf for the underground piping installed using open trench construction. Project adds minimal amount of impervious area.
