The Humboldt Bay Sediment Management Strategy will be a long-term program for dredging, pumping, dewatering, processing, stockpiling and beneficially using dredged sediments from locally maintained sites. Given proximity to the dredge site, dredge spoils may be 1) pumped directly to the beneficial reuse site or 2) transported to dewatering, processing and stockpiling sites. Potential storage sites will be explored in the PEIR.
