The bridge will consist of a cast-in-place, reinforced concrete slab supported on spread footings. The roadway alignment will remain unchanged. The bridge and the roadway profile will be raised by 4 feet to provide additional hydraulic capacity. Construction of the bridge will involve excavation for, and construction of concrete abutments and a central pier supported on spread footings. The installation of rock for scour protection will occur at the support locations for the bridge.
