The Project would consist of the following: track upgrades, new track, and new bridges, which would result in a second mainline track along approximately 34-miles of the Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) Fresno Subdivision between Ceres and Merced; new Turlock, Livingston, and Merced Stations along the extension alignment; and a new permanent Layover & Maintenance Facility in Merced to support operations.
