Document Description
Improvements to the Mesa Lift Station includes the construction of an emergency vault with a maximum depth of 10 feet, on-site piping, valving, upgrading electrical components within the existing cabinets, and four (4) electrically driven sewage pumps. Each pump will be equipped with a 160-horsepower electric motor. The odor control system will be repaired by changing the existing media inside the system and doing a functional test. The Force Main entails construction (trenching and installation) of approximately 9,353 linear feet of 16-inch diameter polyvinyl chloride (PVC) Force Main that will be constructed in a trench approximately three feet wide at a depth of approximately 6–10 feet. The alignment for the new 16-inch diameter force main is adjacent to the active 12-inch diameter brine pipeline constructed as part of the Beaumont WWTP Project. The new force main will be constructed in two segments. The first segment will be installed from the Lift Station Site south in the Potrero Boulevard right-of-way (ROW), within Caltrans ROW, east in Western Knolls Avenue ROW, and connect to an existing 16-inch diameter force main. The second pipeline segment will be constructed from the existing 16-inch dimeter force main in the easterly extension of the Prosperity Way ROW then south in the Nicholas Road ROW to connect to an existing 16-inch diameter force main in 4th Street.
