Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2018-0204-R6, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Riverside County Transportation Department. The project is limited to the construction of a 12-inch diameter gravity pipeline from the Beaumont Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) to the nearest connection point of the existing Inland Empire Brine Line (IEBL) on the bank of the Santa Ana River in San Bernardino, CA. A total of 7 drainage crossings are required for project installation. The majority of the crossings will be conducted using a HOD or a jack/bore method with no direct or indirect impacts to those drainages. The only in stream impact will occur at the Santa Ana River crossing where a man-lift rubber-tired vehicle will be required to install the brine pipeline within an existing utility opening within the South E Street Bridge.

Six other drainages subject to Fish and Game Code section 1602 along the alignment will be drilled under through the use of Horizontal Directional Drilling (HOD) and/or jack/bore methodology but no surface impacts will occur within these areas.
