Document Description
The Mecca II Landfill is open only two days per year. As the landfill is nearing its disposal capacity, the RCDWR is preparing for the closure and post-closure maintenance of the Mecca II facility. The proposed project involves two phases: phase 1 involves activities associated with the closure of the landfill; excavation and grading for the construction of the final cover, placement of erosion control materials, and construction of drainage structures. Phase 2 involves the post-closure maintenance, monitoring, and enhancements of the landfill's environmental systems.
