Document Description
Pursuant to fish and game code section 1652, CDFW has approved the Climate Ready Rangeland project submitted by the Coastal San Luis Resource Conservation District. The project includes repairing seven stream head-cut areas, to: a) reduce fine sediments that are carried downstream through a channelized section of Warden Creek to Los Osos Creek, a steelhead bearing stream; and b) create and restore an approx 6,840 sf wetland/floodplain bench along approx 240 lf of the stream, designed to become inundated during storm events exceeding the 2-year recurrence interval. All project features are designed to allow for passage of 100-year storm flows and each site will be vegetated with native species.
