The project consists of emergency bank protection measures to prevent additional erosion of approximately 2,000-feet of riverbank. Bank protection will measures will consist of engineered rip-rap rock be placed along the exposed alluvial material along the river bank both below and above the water surface.

Reasons for Exemption
During the heavy rains of 2016-2017 the subject property was stripped of much of the riparian vegetation that provided natural bank protection and habitat for wildlife, including deer, quail, turkey. Since that time 30-feet to 50-feet of unprotected soil has eroded into the river creating sedimentation issues for aquatic species, especially salmonid species. The project will provides protection of personal property and protect the habitat of fins and wildlife.
