- Document Description
- The purpose of this project is to improve ADA access and enhance aesthetics within the parking area. The project will include developing an ADA parking pad to accommodate one van and one car with a shared isle, and install an automated pay machine and iron ranger for fee collection. There is an existing iron ranger that will be relocated to the new parking pad, along with an informational sign. A concrete pad will be poured to secure the iron ranger and the pay machine. A new IT cable and electrical line will be run to the machine for internet and power. Currently, the site is within compliance for ADA slopes for a parking area. The existing aggregate will be scraped back to native soil. Excavation of native soil will be to a depth of roughly four to six inches. Decomposed granite will be backfilled into a form where the native material was removed, and compacted to compliance. Vegetated islands will be constructed at various locations in the parking lot to improve site aesthetics and better delineate parking areas and paths to travel. The islands will be planted with native grasses and trees.
