Document Description
A series of storms in early 2017 let to serious erosion under the northbound lane of Horseshoe Meadows Rd causing the loss of approx 50 ft of shoulder and a small section of roadway. The scoured section was rebuilt during the Emergency Opening phase of this project. The permanent restoration phase will include repaving a 140 ft section of road and adding a 300 ft asphalt curb to protect the failed section from future runoff damage. Horseshoe Meadows Rd serves a popular trailhead, Forest Service campground and pack station; this repair will allow the public to safely access to these attractions.
