Document Description
All work will be completed above the Aqueduct water level. All materials will be temporarily stored on the Aqueduct embankment, adjacent to the work areas; staging and limited stockpiling will be at the toe of the left embankment near MP 132. Existing guardrails and road delineators that may interfere with work will be remove; guardrails will be reinstalled at the end of work, the posts will be disposed of. Water containment and spill prevention best management practices (BMPs) will be in place before work begins, and approved cleanup and water disposal plans will be onsite, ready for use. Work consists of raising the existing Aqueduct slopes to re-establish design capacity lost due to subsidence and to prevent overtopping and potential failure of the Aqueduct liner. Work will serve to help recover some of the original Aqueduct capacity and will not increase the design capacity or expand the use of the facility.
