Document Description
Caltrans proposes to improve the pedestrian and bicycle facilities along SR 33 from the Delta Mendota Canal at PM R15.14 to McCabe Road at PM 17.39 in Santa Nella, Merced County. This project proposes to widen existing pavement to install class II bike lanes, construct new sidewalks, reconstruct existing curb ramps, and install a new raised traffic island at the intersection of SR 33 and Henry Miller Avenue. The purpose of this project is to encourage increased use of active modes of transportation. The need for this project is to address adequacy of the existing pedestrian and bike paths, improve connectivity and improve mobility access to everyday needs and services.
