Reasons for Exemption
The project is limited to new construction of a seep well to serve a single-family residence within the footprint of homes destroyed in the Helena Fire. The seep well needs to increase the capacity of the former surface diversion serving the parcel due to new buildings codes, which require a specific volume of water to be readily available for fire extinguishing purposes. The project will not result in impacts with regards to an environmental resource of hazardous or critical concern, nor will it place new impacts in an area with unique or unusual circumstances.
