- The Sequoia Park Zoo Expansion and Renovation consists of several renovations and enhancements within the existing footprint of the zoo, including: the development of new exhibits and facilities within the current footprint of the zoo; enhanced animal welfare facilities; increased visitor amenities including new recreational areas; new food service and retail facilities; expanded areas for special events and educational activities. In addition to the renovations within the existing footprint of the zoo, the project also consists of an expansion to the west of the current zoo to accommodate the development of the Native Predators exhibits, a redwood canopy walk, trails, and an educational facility.
