- Document Description
- PG&E has filed an application for an Incidental Take Permit (ITP) under the CESA Section 2081 with the CDFW. The ITP would cover PG&E's Bay Area O&M Activities for natural gas pipelines and electric transmission and distribution lines. The long-term ITP would cover O&M activities, minor new construction activities, and habitat management and enhancement activities that could affect certain species. The species to be covered by the ITP are the CA tiger salamander and Alameda whipsnake, listed under CESA as threatened, and the CA freshwater shrimp, listed under CESA as endangered. A region-wide ITP provides an enhanced conservation strategy while eliminating the time and expense involved in processing individuals ITPs.
