Document Description
The project involves the city's regulation of wireless telecommunications facilities in the public ROW only and does not apply to wireless facilities on non ROW property, public or private. This code amendment would be regulation of these facilities in public ROW locations from LBMC title 21 to title 15 and transfer permit processing from the development services department to the public works department. In most cases, the permitting process for wireless sites in the public ROW would become a by-right/ministerial process with certain development standards addressing aesthetics and protection of the public ROW for pedestrian and bicyclist circulation and safety.
