- Document Description
- The proposed project involves repaving East Broadway between Alamitos Ave and Redondo Ave, and the modification of East Broadway between Alamitos Ave and Temple Ave to install safety improvements including protected bike lanes on both sides of the street. The project would also include various concrete improvements and repairs to existing sidewalks, curbs, gutters, and curb ramps. In addition, the existing striping, which currently includes two vehicular travel lanes, would be reconfigured to provide one lane in each direction with on-street parking and protected bike lanes on both sides of the street, as well as a buffer to separate bicycle traffic from vehicular traffic. The project site covers approx 12 ac and approx 9,200 ft of road length, and would remove 12 st trees and involve minor bus stop relocation.
