Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement (1600-2018-0113-R6), pursuant to Fish and Game Code section 1602, to the project Applicant, Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (Permittee). This Agreement allows the Permittee to request non-routine maintenance through a sub-notification process via a Form III Request. The Project will remove the existing damaged flume and A-tube and replace them with a new cast in place concrete flume and A-tube within the same footprint as the damaged structure. The Project will also include reconstruction of the washed out road and Arizona crossing; reconstruct the bank; and remove boulders blocking and rerouting flows. A temporary diversion using a coffer dam and culvert pipe will be placed in the existing bypass channel and will be removed when work on the flume is complete. The bypass channel will be filled, graded, and contoured to match pre washout conditions.
