Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2018-0107-R4, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, the California Department of Water Recourses. The Project includes improvement activities within the Eastside Bypass. At Site 1, the Eastside Bypass Control Structure will be modified in order to allow for improved fish passage, and as a result of the new design, a stream gage will be replaced and relocated. Prior to Project activities at Site 1, stream flow will be diverted in order to dewater the work area. At Sites 2, 3, and 4, a total of two miles of levee on the eastern (right) side of the Eastside Bypass will be reinforced to meet levee seepage and stability criteria. Six culverts that penetrate the levees will be replaced as a result of levee reconstruction.
