This project involves the removal of dead, dying, diseased, insect infested and suppressed trees near utility structures for the public health and safety purposes, and contains a secondary benefit of reducing forest fuels for forestry and fire hazard reduction purposes. This project includes maintenance within a utility corridor and minor alterations to land. The use of heavy machinery will be restricted to either the running paved surface of the road or non-riparian areas outside of stream environment zones (SEZ). Work within SEZ areas are to be completed by hand crews.
