The pre-filter unit is 10 ft x 15 ft ft and installed above ground with no permanent foundation. Vessels will be installed on a 17 ft x 38 ft concrete pad. New 8 in distribution piping will be installed for GAC treatment system influent, effluent, and backwash supply. The GAC treatment system will utilize GAC material that will need to be removed from the vessels every 1-3 years (varies based on water quality) and transported (non-hazardous) to an off-site location to be reactivated for reuse. The project proposes a shallow excavation to install concrete pad for the GAC Treatment Systems.
