Document Description
The residents of Okieville depend predominantly on shallow private wells for their water supply. Due to the effects of the ongoing drought, a large number of these wells have gone dry, are going dry, or the water contains contaminants making it unsafe to drink. As a result, the residents of this disadvantaged community do not have a reliable supply of safe drinking water. DWR has identified approximately 80 residential properties that are in need of a reliable and sustainable solution for drinking water .
