Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes to install erosion control measures beneath the bridge structure (BR 29-0062) on state route (SR) 88 over Bear Creek in San Joaquin County. The scope of work includes excavation of loose soil; excavation of a trench along toe of slope on right and left banks; placement of RSP (Rock Slope Protection); and RSP replacement in-kind, at both abutments. The project's purpose is to prevent further scour that is washing away the channel banks, and the need is to prevent the undermining of associated bridge abutments, piers, and foundation.
