Document Description
This project proposes to replace vehicle detector loops at 14 traffic signal locations and 4 traffic monitoring stations (TMS) in Caltrans District 1. Loop detectors activate traffic signal and monitoring stations when a vehicle is detected and are needed to improve traffic safety, and reduce congestion and vehicle emissions.
