Document Description
SWRCB, as the responsible agency, will be issuing a water supply permit. In 2015, the Pleasant View Elementary School District drilled a 660-ft deep, 150-gallon per minute irrigation well that they placed on a 576 foot pad. Recently, a new 20-horsepower submersible pump as installed in the well, to replace the old 25-horsepower pump. A 4-in 480-foot pipe was laid to connect the irrigation well, Well 2, to the existing drinking water system, since their Well 1, a 145-gallon per minute, 230-ft deep well, had failed. 108 feet of 6-ft high fencing exists around the site. The project will provide for the operation of the system.

Reasons for Exemption
The well 2, pad, and fencing are class 1, as they include operation of an existing facilities involving no expansion of use beyond that existing at the time of the lead agency's determination. The 20-horsepower submersible pump that replaced the 25 horsepower pump is replacement of utility equipment/facilities involving no expansion of capacity. The 4-inch diameter, 480-ft piping is class 3, water mains of reasonable length to serve new construction.
