The project will install a steep channel complex consisting of a mosaic of roughened channel, step-pool and riffle-pool channel units to provide year-round migration (upstream- and downstream-connectivity) for Coho salmon (Oncorhynchus kisutch, endangered), juvenile and adult steelhead (Oncorhynchus mykiss, threatened), Chinook salmon (Oncorhynchus tshawytscha, threatened) and Pacific lamprey (Entosphenus tridentatus). The existing in channel step-pool structure includes a concrete dam, four (4) sheet pile and concrete steps and a concrete fish ladder. The new steep channel complex will replace Roy's Pools.
