Document Description
The NVUSD is proposing to develop the site with a middle school campus comprised of nine one- and two-story buildings, outdoor recreation facilities, and parking, with a capacity for 650 students. The school facilities would include five classroom buildings providing a total of 25 classrooms, an administration building, library/computer lab building, cafeteria/multi-purpose building, and gym building. The buildings would range in size from 1,895 sf to 13,167 sf, and would have a combined building area of 66,245 sf. The north, south, and west perimeters of the campus would be dedicated to parking, circulation, and drop-off areas, while the east side of the property would feature an all-weather oval running track surrounding a synthetic turf soccer or multi-use athletic field. In addition, there would be an interior open-air courtyard in the center of the campus with an outdoor performance stage with amphitheater seating and picnic tables for outdoor dining. The outdoor sports facilities would include three asphalt basketball courts located just south of the Gym building along with some Four-square playing courts. To the east of this building would be an all-weather oval running track surrounding a large synthetic turf soccer field or multi-use athletic field. A second soccer field with natural turf would be located near the southern edge of the school property.
