Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2020-0062-R2, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Truckee River Watershed Council. The Project plans to restore approximately 350 acres of meadow habitat in the Davies Creek watershed to raise groundwater levels and return the Creek to its historic channels. Direct impacts within the project footprint are anticipated to be approximately 25 acres. The project involves filling the current degraded channels in the meadow and removing and re-contouring the railroad grade that crosses the meadow to restore natural hydrologic function and return flows to their historic channels.
