Document Description
The proposed project would lengthen an existing rail sliding in order to provide sufficient space for freight trains to temporarily leave the main line and allow passage of Amtrak passenger service trains. The proposed project is located on the UPRR Santa Barbara Subdivision, between Milepost 386.38 and Milepost 387.45, in Ventura County, CA. The proposed project would add an estimated 5,650 ft extension and provide a total siding length of approx 11,564 ft. The proposed project would also include wayside signal modifications at one or two points located south of the proposed siding track extension limits. The objective is to construct the proposed project entirely within the 100-ft right of way.
